Safe Space Show
I teamed up with Atlanta’s Tiny Theater, to host and curate Safe Space — a concert, forum, and performance art piece all wrapped into one. Safe Space is a promotion of inclusion, self-care, artistic expression, and education. In this experience, four socially relevant topics are chosen and two pre-selected performing artists perform within each “act”, sharing their perspectives back-to-back. Afterward, the floor is open for shared discussions and stories with the audience. From sex, to religion, to politics, to race, this event provides an autonomous environment for artists and viewers to share their experiences, perspectives, and questions on the issues they care about most. We wanted to reach a young, sophisticated demographic for Safe Space. As a result of that thinking, our marketing depended heavily on social media and our ability to create a distinguishable brand system that could be easily re-imagined to avoid viewers getting bored with the graphics.
