In 2019, I released my first studio album titled Colors_and_Chrome. The album is dual-sided with the A-side (The Chrome) and the B-side (The Colors) designed to represent the societal pressures we face to present our lives online as clean, filtered images. Online our lives our like chrome, refined and manufactured. But underneath the iridescence, we live raw, unposed lives filled with all spectrums of emotions and color. Real color. I wanted to present this project both stylistically and musically as an illustration of my life for those past 3 years where I shared my perfect “Chrome” -life with fans and friends while I was secretly dealing with a mental health crisis and the incarceration of my partner.
