King Cooley is a neo-soul, hip-hop artist based in Atlanta, Georgia and known for blending her warm southern-twang, certified rap bars, and captivating melodies. With a sound that’s equal parts nostalgic and forward-thinking, King Cooley’s music is an introspective journey through themes of love, self-discovery, and social change. Her breakthrough track, "Climate Change," brought critical attention to her ability to address complex issues with authenticity, gaining over 300,000 streams on Spotify. Following this success, King Cooley’s latest video, “Get Down,” has racked up over 100,000 views on Youtube and songs like “Got That” and “Reunion Season” have been featured on Netflix’s Love Is Blind tv show, and Tyler Perry’s, Sistas, on BET, respectively.
King Cooley’s love of storytelling began as a young artist, drawing comics for friends and collecting album artwork from her favorite CDs. Cooley's interest in the arts led her to attend the Savannah College of Art & Design where she received her B.F.A. in Graphic Design. Shortly after graduating, Cooley began working in corporate America while secretly releasing music as "Cooley Savant". During that time, she released a series of singles including the track title, "Climate Change". Shortly after, the track blasted through the digital sphere earning over 2,000 Spotify playlist adds including Spotify's Fresh Finds, Discover Weekly, Next Wave Neo-Soul, and Madame Gandi's "The Future is Female" playlist.
From performing on stages across the Southeast, to leading Art Direction for global ad campaigns, King Cooley has earned a strong reputation as both a visual and sonic storyteller. With a deep passion for pushing creative boundaries, King Cooley continues to grow her fan base and explore new avenues for her creative expression.
